Blueface had his Canyon Country home invaded by law enforcement on Tuesday afternoon after someone made a false emergency call claiming an active shooting was happening at his residence.
Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Juniper Springs Drive around 2:40 P.M., and found nothing, contrary to the report.
The rapper was actually in the middle of a live stream on KICK when police arrived, and the whole situation got captured on camera for his audience to witness in real time.
When officers pulled up, Blueface was barefoot and cooperating with deputies as they searched the property. A cameraman who was with him also got detained during the initial response.
After thoroughly checking the home, authorities found absolutely nothing.
No shooting had occurred, no weapons were present, and there was zero evidence of any criminal activity taking place.
Shirley Miller, a spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, confirmed the incident was a swatting call, in which someone makes a false report to send armed police to an unsuspecting person’s location.
This isn’t the first time rappers have dealt with this kind of harassment.
Nicki Minaj faced multiple swatting incidents in 2023, including false child abuse claims that prompted DCFS responses.
Lil Wayne experienced a similar situation back in 2016 when Miami Beach police responded to a false shooting report at his home, and he was visibly frustrated by the ordeal.
Chris Brown, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Miley Cyrus have all been targets of swatting over the years, making this a recurring problem for celebrities in the entertainment industry.
The incident remains under investigation as authorities work to identify who made the false report.
