Ray J just beat Orlando Brown by unanimous decision at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on August 15, and immediately called out Jake Paul for his next fight.
The singer and actor said he thinks he can beat the YouTube star-turned boxer and said: “Jake Paul is next.”
Here’s the thing though: this callout is absolutely wild when you look at the actual numbers. Ray J’s boxing record is now 1-1 after his win over Orlando Brown.
He took an L back in May 2026 when Supah Hot Fire knocked him out at Adin Ross’ event, and that loss came despite Ray J having a life-threatening heart condition that made the whole situation even more dangerous.
Now he’s riding high off one victory and already eyeing a professional boxer with a completely different level of experience and skill. The confidence is there, but the reality check is missing.
Jake Paul sits at 12-2 as a professional boxer with seven knockouts on his record.
Paul was absolutely demolished by Anthony Joshua in December 2025, when Joshua knocked him out in the sixth round and broke his jaw.
Paul’s currently injured and will miss the entire 2026 boxing calendar while recovering from the injury.
The gap between their experience levels is massive. Jake Paul has been boxing professionally for years and has faced actual fighters like Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, and Tommy Fury.
Ray J just got his first win after losing to a content creator in an MMA event.
One’s a professional with a legitimate record, and the other’s still figuring out how to throw combinations. The callout is entertaining, but it’s the kind of thing that makes you laugh and shake your head at the same time.
