Master P is closing the book on Snoop Cereal and moving his breakfast game in a completely different direction with Miller Family Foods.
During an appearance on Forbes’ “The Enterprise Zone” podcast, the No Limit founder explained that the cereal venture he built with Snoop Dogg has run its course after dealing with trademark issues and retail distribution problems that made it nearly impossible to keep product on store shelves.
“We got over it, then we all moved on,” Master P said, noting that the market’s appetite has shifted toward healthier options anyway.
The pivot to Miller Family Foods, which he introduced in 2024, represents a complete rethinking of his breakfast strategy.
Rather than trying to resurrect the Snoop Cereal concept, Master P is building out an entire line of health-conscious alternatives, including oatmeal, breakfast bars, pancakes, and waffles, alongside the new cereal offering.
All products are made without artificial preservatives, hydrogenated oils, high-fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, GMOs, and other ingredients consumers are actively avoiding.
“More healthy cereal” is what customers want, Master P emphasized, and that’s the lane he’s now occupying.
The original Snoop Cereal journey started as Snoop Loopz before a trademark dispute forced a name change.
Broadus Foods partnered with Post Consumer Brands to manufacture and distribute the product nationally, rolling out flavors like Fruity Hoopz with Marshmallows, Cinnamon Toasteez, and Frosted Drizzlerz.
The partnership was supposed to represent Black ownership and diversity in grocery aisles, but things fell apart quickly.
In February 2024, Broadus Foods sued Post and Walmart, alleging the companies deliberately kept product off shelves and limited availability.
Master P’s broader mission around economic freedom and building shelf space for Black-owned brands remains intact, but the execution is changing.
Miller Family Foods carries his family name and positions him as the face of the company rather than a celebrity co-founder, which gives him more control over the product strategy and retail relationships.
Master P hasn’t announced whether his longtime collaborator will be part of the Miller Family Foods cereal launch, but the messaging suggests this is a solo venture.
