Chris Brown, Usher Expand “R&B Tour” After $100 Million Box Office Success

Chris Brown and Usher just locked in eight more stadium dates for The R&B Tour, pushing the total to 59 shows across North America after the co-headlining run absolutely dominated the summer.

The newly announced stops include first-time visits to Baltimore, Cincinnati, Columbia, and Indianapolis, plus extra performances in cities where demand went through the roof, like Atlanta getting a fifth show, Los Angeles adding a fourth, and both East Rutherford and Miami getting third dates.

Since the sold-out Denver kickoff at Empower Field at Mile High back in June, this tour became one of the biggest live events of the season, bringing together two generational R&B icons for a nearly three-hour stadium production that nobody expected to hit this hard. The format’s different too.

Instead of the traditional back-to-back headline setup, Chris Brown and Usher trade off across nine cinematic acts, keeping the energy moving and the crowd locked in throughout the night.

The show flows seamlessly between their separate catalogs, hitting classics like “U Remind Me,” “With You,” and “Yeah,” then bringing it together for joint performances including “New Flame.”

Throughout the night, both artists pay tribute to the R&B legends who paved the way, with special moments honoring Prince, Michael Jackson, and Marvin Gaye woven into the production.

The numbers tell the story. More than $101 million in box-office grosses across just the first eight shows, over 566,000 tickets sold across the first 13 concerts, with every single one sold out. Detroit’s Ford Field set a new venue record, becoming the first concert tour in nearly 25 years to play three consecutive nights there.

Northwest Stadium in Washington, D.C. drew over 122,000 fans across three nights, setting a new attendance record and marking the first-ever three-night concert run in that stadium’s history, plus landing in the top five highest-grossing shows in the venue’s 29-year history.

The production features Mario, Eric Bellinger, and Tank as live backing vocalists who also step into the spotlight to perform their own biggest hits.

Surprise guests throughout the run have included 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, Ashanti, Method Man, and Future, keeping each night unpredictable and fresh.

The remaining dates hit markets that were already hungry for more, and presales start soon for the newly announced stops.
