Guyana’s newest international hotel deal began with an operating property, an adjoining tower and a $50 million plan for one of Georgetown’s best-known hotel addresses.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation and RJR Investments & Holdings have brought the 80-room Atlantic Suites Hotel into the Hyatt portfolio as an affiliated property, giving the company its first hotel in Guyana. A new tower will eventually connect with the existing building, creating the 240-room Hyatt Regency Georgetown Guyana in 2028.
