Diddy is inching toward freedom as his prison release date keeps getting trimmed down, and depending on how his appeals shake out, he could be walking out of Fort Dix much sooner than expected.
The Bad Boy Records founder’s release date has just shifted to April 15, 2028, cutting another 10 days off his timeline and showing that the legal process is gradually working in his favor.
He’s currently serving a 50-month sentence for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, convictions that came after a jury found him guilty on those specific charges while acquitting him on racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking counts.
The trial revealed truly disturbing behavior that painted a picture of someone operating without any boundaries or consequences.
Prosecutors detailed how Diddy orchestrated what he called freak-offs, elaborate sexual events where he coerced women into participating with male escorts while he watched, often after plying them with drugs like ecstasy and ketamine.
Jane testified that hotel rooms were stocked with baby oil, Plan-B pills, and IV drips to facilitate these encounters, and she described one night where she threw up three times during a hotel night with multiple men.
The allegations also included a 2016 physical assault on Cassie, where he dragged her down a hallway by her hair, and a 2024 incident where he allegedly beat Jane for hours, leaving her with golf ball-sized welts on her forehead and a black eye.
The jury found him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution related to both Cassie and Jane, but acquitted him on the more serious racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges.
When Diddy took the stand at sentencing in October 2025, he told Judge Arun Subramanian that his actions were disgusting, shameful and sick, admitting he was out of control and needed help he never received.
Judge Subramanian sentenced him to 50 months in prison plus five years of supervised release and a $500,000 fine, explaining that prosecutors’ request for 135 months was excessive while the defense’s proposal of 14 months was insufficient.
He’s been serving his time at Fort Dix, a low-security facility in New Jersey, since late October 2025, and his legal team continues to work on appeals that could further reduce his sentence.
