BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – Broward County voters can begin casting ballots Saturday, Aug. 8, when early voting opens for the Aug. 18, 2026, primary election.
Early voting schedule
Dates: Saturday, Aug. 8, through Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026
Hours: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily
Locations: 21 early voting sites throughout Broward County
Voters may cast their ballot at any early voting location in Broward County, regardless of where they live. A complete list of locations is available at BrowardVotes.gov.
What voters need to know
- Florida is a closed-primary state. Voters will receive the ballot for the political party in which they are registered. All registered voters may vote in nonpartisan contests and any universal primary contests appearing on their ballot.
- Voters must present current and valid photo identification with a signature.
- Accessible voting equipment will be available at every early voting location.
- Secure ballot intake stations, also known as drop boxes, will be available at all 21 early voting sites during early voting hours and at each permanent branch office.
- Voters can review their sample ballot and confirm their voter information before voting early at BrowardVotes.gov.
“Early voting gives voters the flexibility to cast their ballot at the time and location most convenient for them,” Broward County Supervisor of Elections Joe Scott said.
“We encourage voters to make a plan, vote early and bring a friend or family member with them to one of the county’s 21 early voting locations.”

- Vote-by-mail ballot return deadline: 6, 2026, by 7 p.m.
- Election Day: Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
