Ray J beat Orlando Brown at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on Saturday night in a decision that ended their heated rivalry.
The 3-round bout aired on Zeus Network as part of the Claressa Shields vs. Kaye Scott fight card. Ray J and Brown strapped their boxing gloves and got busy to the glee of the audience. The result did not align with the fire-and-brimstone promotion leading up to the matchup.
Ray J established himself early with the cleaner offense. Brown struggled to settle into a consistent rhythm and Ray even scored a first round knockdown when one of Brown’s gloves hit the canvas.
Things became considerably messier in the second round.
Both entertainers spent stretches tied up in clinches and even tumbled to the canvas together. The action slowed further in the third round as fatigue took over. The Atlanta crowd booed them as the fight ended without a dramatic finish that they promoted.

Brown repeatedly brought Ray J’s sister Brandy into their public feud during interviews and appearances. At a June press conference, Brown escalated matters by slapping Ray J across the face with a stack of cash. Ray J responded by warning Brown to leave his family out of their conflict.
Once the bell rang in Atlanta, however, the insults gave way to a far more cautious contest.
The victory provided Ray J with some redemption following his May 23 knockout loss against Supa Hot Fire at BrandRisk 14 in Las Vegas. Ray J was stopped in the second round of that fight and later publicly acknowledged that he could not afford to underestimate another opponent.
Against Brown, Ray J appeared more measured. Instead of chasing a dramatic knockout, he lasted all three rounds and produced enough effective work to earn the judges’ decision.
For Brown, the loss capped months of antagonizing his opponent. The former Disney Channel star had repeatedly challenged Ray J’s toughness and relevance while helping turn the bout into one of the celebrity attractions on the Shields vs. Scott card.
The spectacle ultimately delivered more hostility before the opening bell than violence after it. There was no wild knockout and no final round explosion to match the rhetoric. Instead, Ray J did what mattered most after his rough introduction to celebrity boxing. He stayed upright, collected the decision and left State Farm Arena with bragging rights over Orlando Brown.
