Nicki Minaj just made her political move official, throwing her massive platform behind Byron Donalds in Florida’s Republican gubernatorial primary on Saturday.
She posted on X, telling her millions of followers, “You have my vote. Barbz please support him however you can. #TheGoodGuys.”
The Queen of Rap’s endorsement didn’t come out of nowhere.
Over the past couple of years, she’s been gradually moving closer to Trump and Republican causes, appearing at events with the former president and publicly calling herself his “No. 1 fan.”

Byron Donalds is a U.S. Representative from Florida’s 19th congressional district who’s running to become the state’s first Black Republican governor.
Born and raised in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, he worked his way through finance and banking before entering politics. He switched from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party in 2010 and has since become a major figure in the MAGA wing of the GOP.
