MARTA launched a new phase of its “Ride with Respect” campaign featuring award-winning artist, actor, producer, and activist David Banner.

The partnership aims to create a safer, cleaner, and more welcoming transit experience for everyone riding Atlanta’s public transportation system.

The campaign builds on MARTA’s public awareness efforts during FIFA World Cup 2026. The message is straightforward: Ride Safe. Ride with Respect.

“Respect is not complicated,” David Banner said. “It is about looking out for each other, treating people the way you would want to be treated, and understanding that we are all sharing this space.”

MARTA Interim General Manager and CEO Jonathan Hunt emphasized the campaign’s broader mission. “Ride with Respect is about creating an environment on MARTA where every customer and employee feels safe and valued,” Hunt said.

The campaign focuses on simple, actionable steps riders can take.

Use headphones to keep noise down. Keep aisles clear for movement. Properly dispose of trash. Respect fellow riders and MARTA employees. Follow MARTA’s safety rules.

Together, these actions make every MARTA ride better.

Hardman Creative Group, an Atlanta-based veteran-owned creative agency, led the campaign’s filming and creative direction.

The campaign represents MARTA’s commitment to fostering a transit system where safety and respect are priorities for all users.
