Donald Trump Celebrates J.D. Vance’s Biracial Baby Before Parents & Racist Right Wing MAGA Nuts Melt Down

Donald Trump made sure the world knew about J.D. Vance’s newborn before the parents even got a chance to post the announcement themselves.

The Vice President and his wife, Usha, welcomed their fourth child over the weekend, and the President couldn’t resist being the first to share the moment with everyone on Truth Social, calling baby Alec Neel a “perfect baby boy” and making the whole thing about himself in the process.

Usha gave birth at Walter Reed Medical Center in Maryland on Sunday, and the photo Trump posted shows just the newborn with two of his older siblings in a hospital room, no parents in sight.

Here’s where it gets interesting, though. Vance’s got an Indian wife, a biracial baby and three other mixed-race children, yet he’s been repeatedly accused of promoting white supremacy rhetoric and racist populism.

The contradiction is impossible to ignore.

Vance has made some seriously controversial statements about race and white Americans over the years. He’s said things like Americans don’t have to apologize for being white anymore, and he’s built his entire political brand around white working-class resentment.

Critics have pointed out how his rhetoric about white exceptionalism and his populist messaging have dog-whistle qualities that appeal to white supremacist movements.

His wife Usha actually faced racist backlash from far-right supporters during the campaign, which makes the whole situation even more complicated.

The family’s other children include 9-year-old Ewan, 6-year-old Vivek, and 4-year-old Mirabel.

The whole situation exposes the hypocrisy at the heart of the MAGA movement, where white supremacist rhetoric coexists with multiracial families in the highest levels of government.

While the baby has an all-American-sounding name, his middle name, Neel, carries deep cultural significance that most people probably don’t know about.

The name derives from Sanskrit and means “blue” or “sapphire,” a common North Indian name that connects the child to his mother’s heritage and Indian culture.
