Drake says Rolex gave him an ultra-rare one-of-one Daytona, then immediately warned jewelers against copying his frozen new wrist candy.
The Toronto superstar unveiled the “Piece Unique Ice Gradient Daytona” on Instagram and credited Rolex with crafting it for his record-breaking 2026.
“Today I received the most important thing I have ever had the pleasure of owning,” Drake wrote beside images of the watch. “This is the One of One Piece Unique Ice Gradient Daytona by @rolex crafted to celebrate the record breaking milestones of 2026.”
The images show a diamond-covered dial and bracelet, icy blue stones circling the bezel and “FREEZE THE WORLD” engraved across the case back.
Drake also issued a blunt originality notice before aftermarket jewelers could transform ordinary Daytonas into unauthorized versions of his design.
“Please do not get your local jeweler to recreate,” he continued. “This is a stand alone and a part of history.”
Rolex has not publicly announced the commission or disclosed its materials, reference number, production process or monetary value.
However, the Swiss manufacturer has long connected the Cosmograph Daytona with elite achievement, including engraved watches presented to winning endurance racers.
Creating a private trophy for music’s dominant record-setter would extend that winners-only tradition while placing Rolex at the center of a massive cultural conversation.
Drake became the first artist controlling the Billboard 200’s top three positions simultaneously after releasing three albums: ICEMAN, Habibti and Maid of Honour, in May 2026.
No real appraisal is possible without examining the stones, metal, movement and factory documentation attached to this unrepeatable Daytona.
Still, auction history places its potential worth anywhere from seven figures to several million dollars, depending heavily upon provenance and confirmed factory construction.
Phillips sold a standard modern Rainbow Daytona for $444,500, while a unique 1990s Rainbow Daytona reached approximately $6.3 million in 2024.
That comparison makes a valuation between $1 million and $6 million plausible, although Drake’s celebrity ownership could move bidding beyond conventional watch estimates.
The new Rolex enters Drake’s collection, which already carries serious financial weight, including a scarce pink “Barbie” Daytona reportedly valued near $1 million.
Drake also purchased Pharrell’s historic N.E.R.D. pendant for $2.18 million and Tupac Shakur’s crown ring for over $1 million.
His “Previous Engagements” necklace holds 42 engagement-ring diamonds totaling 351.38 carats, while the functional Cogsworth pendant contains roughly 155 carats.
Drake closed his announcement by thanking Rolex for “blessing me with such a generational ticker,” leaving its official specifications under wraps.
