Kingston man charged with murder following stabbing of brother

KINGSTON, Jamaica—A Kingston man has been charged in connection with the stabbing death of his brother 51-year-old Terrence Myles at their home on Thursday, August 20.

He has been identified as 43-year-old Ruel Myles, an electrician of Tobias Road, Kingston 11.

Reports from the Hunts Bay police are that the brothers were at home when a dispute developed between them, which escalated into a physical confrontation. During the incident, the accused allegedly used a machete to stab Terrence in his back.

Terrence was assisted to the hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.

The accused was subsequently taken into custody and charged following a question-and-answer session.

His court date is being finalised.
