Meek Mill brought back his most memed move at Fanatics Fest this weekend after losing a game of P-I-G to streamer N3on and boxer Ryan Garcia.
The rapper hopped fifty times on the spot, the same move that turned him into an internet punchline years back. This time, Meek knew what he was doing, and he did it in good spirits, proving his good sense of humor.
Meek Mill has lived with the bunny hop since 2021, when a lost tennis bet with Fanatics boss Michael Rubin made it a running joke. He’s addressed his last bunny hop saga more than once, insisting the game came from something he invented behind bars.
That version traces back to Meek’s time locked up, when losing money games meant taking an embarrassing lap of hops. He’s pointed to DThang and Tdot’s song “Bunny Hop” as proof that the bit existed long before Rubin’s camera ever caught him doing it.
That 2021 clip sparked a broader conversation at the time, with fans reading it as a billionaire embarrassing a Black artist over a bet. Meek pushed back on that framing earlier this year, writing on X that people erased the real story behind it.
