Nicki Minaj Appears Alongside Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry & Her Fans Are Angry

Nicki Minaj was photographed with Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry at a White House event in Washington, D.C. Oh, this is not for play.

Nicki attended a White House event promoting a Treasury Department child savings initiative. Also in attendance was Governor Jeff Landry, who praised the savings program. The event positioned itself as one focused on financial opportunities for children and families. That was a cover in my opinion.

Landry is one of the country’s most polarizing governors. And there is a good reason for that.

In Louisiana, a state known for a massive African American population, he signed a congressional map that eliminated one of the state’s two majority Black U.S. House districts. He did that. It’s not ok to take a picture with him. But wait there’s more. He also signed legislation banning critical race theory from Louisiana’s K through 12 public school classrooms. Civil rights groups, educators and people with a brain are not joking with dude, or anybody making celebrity appearance alongside the governor.

Nicki Minaj was all up in the White House. We knew this, but this is now the story.

The White House initiative included many officials from across the country, including the Donald. The rapper has continued to align herself with MAGA and other Far Right political figures. You do not take images next to the people that are actively removing the rights from those that once bought your albums.

Nicki Minaj needs some education on Governor Landry’s legislative record, gotdamnit.

Nicki should address this asap, because the internet is tearing her apart.
