MANCHESTER, Jamaica – A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of two men in Manchester on Friday, June 5.
He is Nicholas Williamson, otherwise called ‘Poo-Bear’, a construction worker of University Road, Kingston.
The deceased have been identified as 60-year-old Hubert Ferguson and 33-year-old Floyd Ferguson, otherwise called ‘Fido,’ a car dealer and entertainer, both of New Forrest district, Manchester.
Reports from the Mandeville police indicate that about 12 midnight, residents alerted the police after hearing explosions coming from a premises in the community. Upon arrival, the police discovered Hubert and Floyd in a bedroom suffering from gunshot wounds. They were assisted to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
On Thursday, June 18, post-mortem examinations confirmed that both men died from gunshot wounds to the head.
Following a collaborative effort involving the Manchester Police Division, St Andrew Central Division, and the Major Investigation Division, Williamson, who was wanted in connection with the incident, was arrested on Tuesday, August 11 and subsequently charged.
