T.I. has added another major business move to his résumé.
The King of the South has signed a global publishing agreement with Reservoir Media that covers his entire songwriting catalog, including material spanning more than two decades of Hip-Hop.
The agreement includes songs from T.I.’s latest album, Kill the King, as well as many of the Atlanta rap icon’s signature records. The move gives Reservoir Media publishing rights to one of the Rap’s most recognizable collections of songs like “What You Know,” “Live Your Life,” “Whatever You Like” and “Bring Em Out.”
The deal also positions Reservoir to oversee opportunities involving licensing across film, television, advertising and other media. The larger vision allows the company to manage the long-term value of T.I.’s songwriting catalog.
For T.I., the agreement represents another strategic business decision beyond recording and performing. Publishing deals have become increasingly important as music catalogs continue to generate revenue through streaming, synchronization licenses and other entertainment partnerships.
