Drake has somehow gone from barking for a goth woman to appearing on a dog leash, and we may need a forensic laboratory before this story is over.
Photos circulating online appear to show Drake wearing a collar and being led around on all fours by a goth woman that is allegedly 19. But before Kendrick Lamar runs back into the studio, there is a gigantic question hovering over the images: are they even real?
That distinction matters because there are actually two women getting mixed together in the online chatter.
Drake recently participated in a viral “20 vs. 1” dating segment during his Stake anniversary livestream. One contestant, 23-year-old streamer and cosplayer Lin Lamar, better known as Pinkchyu, caught Drake’s attention. She asked him, “Would you bark for me?”
And Drake barked.
Pinkchyu responded, “Good boy.” Drake eventually selected her as his “wife” in the dating game and offered to buy her mother a house after she told him that was what she wanted.
That part is real.
The leash pictures are another matter entirely.
Those images have been attributed online to Jade Blackwood, not Pinkchyu. One recent report identified Blackwood’s Instagram as the source of images depicting Drake wearing a collar and crawling on all fours. Questions immediately surfaced about whether the pictures were generated or manipulated with artificial intelligence.
And right now, I would not bet the OVO owl on either answer.
What makes this particularly hilarious is that Drake created the perfect conditions for the internet to believe almost anything. Once you voluntarily bark on camera, somebody putting a digital leash around your neck suddenly does not seem completely outside the realm of possibility.
Meanwhile, the timing could hardly be more combustible. Drake’s battle with Kendrick Lamar transformed practically every unusual Drake moment into potential meme ammunition. Now the man who survived “Not Like Us” has to contend with screenshots that make him look like Champagne Puppy.
For now, the barking is verified. The leash is not.
Somewhere, Kendrick is probably minding his business.
Probably. Maybe.
