Trippie Redd’s #NDA Hashtag Amid Coi Leray Drama Makes Sense Now

This post was originally published on this site.

I could be wrong, but did Trippie Redd just use drama with his baby mama and daughter to promote an album? Am I trippin’ or is it Trippie?

Because that’s definitely what it’s looking like right now.

How did I find this out? Well, the good people in the newsroom hit me with an email from a promotional team pushing Trippie Redd’s new project. And suddenly, something clicked.

I was wondering why this man kept putting #NDA at the end of posts about Coi Leray and their daughter, Miyoco. I thought maybe “NDA” had something to do with their relationship, some legal situation or something happening behind the scenes.

Nope.

NDA is the name of his new album.

Oh boy.

Earlier this week, Trippie claimed publicly that Coi was preventing him from seeing their daughter. In one particularly aggressive post, he told people to ask Coi why she allegedly would not let him see his baby. But guess what he put at the end?

#NDA.

Then, after people questioned why he was discussing his family business online instead of handling it privately, Trippie responded that he had already been going to court.

And once again?

#NDA.

Now we learn NDA drops Friday, August 14.

Listen, I cannot say the situation between Trippie and Coi isn’t real. In fact, their co-parenting problems appear to predate this album rollout. Back in May 2025, before Miyoco was born, Trippie publicly claimed Coi did not want him or his family at the baby shower and told him to contact her lawyer. Their daughter was born the following month. So there is history here.

But attaching your album hashtag to posts about an alleged custody dispute?

Come on, man.

Anyway, since the promotional material made its way to us, let me not be a poor sport about it.

Trippie Redd’s NDA is a massive 25-track project featuring a ridiculous number of guests. Young Thug appears multiple times, while Lil Wayne, Rema, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Kodak Black, Ski Mask The Slump God, BigXThaPlug, Rob49, NoCap, Quavo, Tory Lanez, YNW Melly and Sexyy Red are among the other featured artists.

A Little History Here

Trippie and Coi’s relationship has already played out across multiple eras of social media. They originally dated in 2019 before reconnecting publicly in 2024. By January 2025, Coi announced she was pregnant, but their reunion quickly became complicated after she publicly suggested she had been cheated on. Their daughter Miyoco arrived in June 2025. That history is important because it suggests the current disagreement did not simply materialize for an album rollout. Still, using #NDA while discussing something as serious as access to your child creates an uncomfortable collision between private family problems and public music marketing.

Hopefully, they settle whatever is happening with their daughter.

And hopefully, Trippie finds a better way to promote an album, because if the family situation is completely real, turning #NDA into the punctuation mark on those posts makes an already sensitive situation look like a rollout.

That part is on him.
